Tramhaus

Formed in Rotterdam in 2020, Tramhaus brings together five musicians from the Dutch local scene who met during the pandemic. The band plays tense, physical post-punk built around two angular guitars, a dry rhythm section and a forward vocal; some tracks verge on a noise-rock nervousness while keeping concise, direct songwriting. Tramhaus quickly appeared on the radar of the Dutch indie scene, playing Eurosonic Noorderslag as early as 2022, and later appearing at festivals such as Best Kept Secret, Lowlands and Into the Great Wide Open. Their discography began with the single I Don’t Sweat in 2022, followed the same year by Rotterdam, and then several 2023 releases: The Goat / Beep Beep, Switch / Long Ago and Minus 20 / Erik’s Song, issued on Subroutine Records. In 2024 Tramhaus released their first album, The First Exit, which continues their abrasive, nervous and tightly focused aesthetic, conceived for both stage and studio.
