After Mirrorwriting (2011) and Making Time (2015), nominated for the Mercury Prize, Jamie Woon kept a low profile. He took the time to clarify what deserved to be said. His third album, 3, 10, Why, When, emerged almost by chance when Swedish producer Martin Terefe brought him into the Eastcote studio: one track, then another, until there was a full record. It features sharp percussion, sweeping strings, and 3 a.m. thoughts that brush up against surges of love and belonging. For Woon, singing about turmoil serves as much to express it as to soothe it. A cult figure of London soul, championed by Erykah Badu and Pharrell, he has collaborated with Burial and Disclosure, written and produced for Elmiene, and left a mark on a generation with "Night Air" and "Sharpness." He returns to the stage with his first tour in ten years and will stop in Paris: Jamie Woon will play La Maroquinerie on 13 April 2026.
