The Reklaws

Formed in North Dumfries, Ontario, around siblings Stuart and Jenna Walker, The Reklaws are part of a Canadian country style that blends country-pop with neo-traditional touches, featuring songs crafted for the vocal duo and a deliberate anchoring in Ontario’s rural imagery. Active since 2012, The Reklaws first gained attention on the local country scene and at the Boots and Hearts Music Festival, where the duo won the Emerging Artist Showcase in 2013, before developing their career between Canada and Nashville. After several initial singles, they released the EPs Long Live the Night and Feels Like That in 2018, followed by the albums Freshman Year (2019), Sophomore Slump (2020) and Good Ol’ Days (2022). Their trajectory also includes frequent collaborations with other names in North American country, notably Dean Brody on “Can’t Help Myself,” Sacha on “What the Truck,” Jake Owen on “11 Beers,” and Drake Milligan on “Honky Tonkin’ About.” Regulars on major festivals, country tours and televised stages in Canada, The Reklaws also issued the live record The Reklaws: Live at History in 2023 and the EP Outliving (For Mom) in 2024.
