High Valley
Formed within the Mennonite community of La Crete, Alberta (Canada), High Valley first coalesced around brothers Brad, Bryan, and Curtis Rempel, before becoming a duo and eventually the Nashville-based project led by Brad. Rooted in contemporary country, High Valley blends bluegrass, folk, and pop influences, with a pronounced taste for vocal harmonies and songs centered on rural life, family, and faith. The group drew attention on the Canadian country scene in the mid-2000s, releasing the independent album Broken Borders in 2007, a self-titled record in 2010, and Love Is a Long Road in 2012. With County Line (2014) and Dear Life (2016), High Valley refined a more melodic, radio-friendly aesthetic while preserving an acoustic foundation shaped by bluegrass. After Bryan’s departure in 2014 and Curtis’s in 2021, High Valley carried on with Brad Rempel at the helm, who continues to write and record in Nashville, notably with the 2022 album Way Back. Shared tours across the North American country circuit and a regular presence at festivals have anchored High Valley in a space where narrative songwriting, immediate hooks, and full-band energy converge.
