Jade Eagleson
Born in 1994 in Bailieboro, Ontario, and raised in a farming environment, Jade Eagleson developed an early attachment to traditional country, nurtured by listening to George Jones, Johnny Cash, and Randy Travis. After cutting his teeth on small local stages, he drew attention in 2017 by winning the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, which established him on the Canadian country scene. In 2018, Eagleson released a self-titled debut EP featuring the track "Got Your Name on It," which quickly brought him to a wider audience, before extending that trajectory with the album "Jade Eagleson" in 2020. Marked by a neotraditional sound—with guitars and steel guitar to the fore—and songwriting focused on relationships, rural life, and family, it set the template for what followed. He returned with "Honkytonk Revival" in 2021, further honing a style firmly rooted in modern honky-tonk aesthetics, then with "Do It Anyway" in 2023, reaffirming his fidelity to country traditions while integrating more contemporary elements. A regular presence on Canadian festival stages and collaborating notably with Dean Brody on "More Drinkin’ Than Fishin’," Jade Eagleson has emerged as one of the representative voices of a North American country sound that stays rooted while remaining accessible to the broader public.
