On August 1, 2026, Bob Moses will perform at MTELUS in Montreal with a club set tailored for the night.
Behind that name are Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance, a Canadian duo who have blurred the lines between house, electronic pop, and indie rock since the early 2010s, with their own distinctive way of letting voices, guitar and machines coexist without forcing the issue.
Having emerged in New York clubs with the EPs Hands to Hold and Far from the Tree, and then signing to Domino Records, Bob Moses has built a precise, nocturnal writing style, between slow grooves, understated textures and melodies that stick. From Days Gone By to Battle Lines, and later dance-floor forays such as Desire up to The Silence in Between, the duo alternates between song formats and club tension. Here, the club version takes precedence: a set designed to unfurl the textures, stretch the bass and keep the tempo, somewhere between the warmth of a live show and the efficiency of a DJ set.
