Larry Fleet

Born and raised in White Bluff, Tennessee, Larry Fleet comes from a country tradition shaped early by bluegrass and gospel: as a child he performed with the family band Happy Two alongside his great-grandfather and grand-uncle, who also taught him guitar and fiddle. Before moving to Nashville, Fleet honed his craft on Tennessee’s local stages, notably in bars in Dickson where he played regularly in the late 2000s. In 2017 a performance at a wedding caught Jake Owen’s attention, who then invited him to open; around the same time he competed on the show Real Country, finishing second. After several independent releases, Larry Fleet signed with Big Loud in 2019 and developed a brand of country rooted in everyday narratives, characterized by a deep voice, spare arrangements and a sensitivity shaped by the harmonies of the American South. His discography includes the albums Workin’ Hard (2019), Stack of Records (2021) and Earned It (2023). Among his most recognized songs is “Where I Find God”, co-written with Connie Harrington, continuing the gospel covers Fleet regularly released early in his career.
