Alex Wann
Based in Paris, Alex Wann, whose real name is Alexandre Un, initially trained as a hip‑hop DJ in the city's nightlife before turning his work toward electronic music. He has developed a sound that sits between afro house, deep house and melodic house, characterized by percussive rhythms, direct melodic lines and a strong emphasis on vocals. His name spread more widely from 2023 with "Milkshake", a reinterpretation of Kelis's track that was first picked up in clubs and then released officially, establishing him on the international house scene. He followed with remixes and productions, notably a reinterpretation of "Beyond Us" by Adriatique and Eynka, a version of "My Love" by Route 94 and Jess Glynne, and releases such as "Set Me Free", "Cash Only" and the EP "Haze". His trajectory has since taken him to stages in Europe, the United States and Africa, in settings ranging from clubs to festivals, with appearances in Ibiza, Paris and Johannesburg. Alex Wann is part of a generation of French producers who blend contemporary house with afro‑dancefloor influences while remaining rooted in a club approach.
