Fulci

Formed in Caserta, Italy, Fulci emerged in 2014 with a death metal sound directly nourished by Italian horror cinema, even borrowing their name from director Lucio Fulci. The band built an aesthetic that blends the heaviness of 1990s death metal, compact riffs, tempo variations and atmospheric passages, with a marked taste for gore atmospheres and song structures conceived like narratives. After Opening the Hell Gates in 2015, Fulci refined this identity on Tropical Sun in 2019 and again on Exhumed Information in 2021, where the writing became denser while retaining its cinematic dimension. Duck Face Killings, released in 2024, continues this line with a frontal sound, more menacing passages and regular use of interludes and samples. Fulci has gradually established themselves on the extreme metal circuit in Europe and North America, with regular tours and appearances at festivals such as Party.San, Brutal Assault and Obscene Extreme. Between homage to Italian gore, references to classic death metal and a highly identifiable work on atmosphere, Fulci has developed since its beginnings a coherent formula at the crossroads of extreme music and horrific imagination.
