On 13 November 2026 at The Academy in Dublin, Master Boot Record teams up with Fulci for a collision between circuit boards and death metal.
Master Boot Record is Victor Love’s lab for fusing extreme metal writing with synthwave, chiptune and orchestral colors. Since 2016, the project has swapped guitar stacks for saturated synth leads and arpeggios that nod to early home computers, with titles and concepts lifted from BIOS prompts, file systems and retro-computing. On stage, MBR tightens those coded motifs into riffs, counter-melodies and breakneck runs, moving between layered harmonies and a blunt rhythmic pulse. The set draws across the self-released period and Personal Computer (Metal Blade, 2022), carried by a live line-up built to serve that hybrid language.
Fulci channels Italian horror straight into death metal. Formed in Caserta, the band structures songs like scenes: heavy 90s-rooted riffs, tempo pivots, claustrophobic atmospheres and samples that stitch the narrative. From Opening the Hell Gates to Tropical Sun and Exhumed Information, the writing has grown denser while keeping that cinematic frame; Duck Face Killings (2024) adds a more menacing tilt and tighter transitions. On stage, Fulci leans into groove and tension, alternating crush and acceleration without losing the giallo-stained storytelling at the core.
