Myles Smith

Straddling acoustic folk and indie pop, Myles Smith develops a songwriting approach centered on guitar and voice, featuring direct melodies and an intimate register. Born in Luton, England, he grew up in Bedfordshire and taught himself guitar before turning fully to music after an early stint in rugby. From the early 2020s he began sharing covers and original songs on social media, which helped him build an audience beyond the local scene and led to a growing number of solo shows in small British venues. His music fits within contemporary folk-pop, blending acoustic arpeggios, ballad-like structures and catchier, pop-leaning choruses, often driven by lyrics about relationships and everyday life. The single “Solo” (2023) marked a notable increase in visibility, followed in 2024 by the EP “You Promised A Lifetime,” which consolidated his move toward narrative, melodic songwriting. Between studio recordings and tours in Europe and North America, Myles Smith continues a trajectory in which spare arrangements and close contact with the audience remain at the heart of his artistic identity.
