Dasha
Born Anna Dasha Novotny in San Luis Obispo, California, Dasha first builds a career rooted in pop before steering her music toward a country-pop sound with direct choruses and arrangements calibrated for both the stage and short formats. Active since the early 2020s, she released the EP $hiny Things in 2021, followed by her debut album Dirty Blonde in 2023, still marked by contemporary pop writing. The pivot becomes clearer at the end of the same year with the single Austin, which places Dasha in a more assertive country register, fueled by acoustic guitar, accessible melodies and a clean production inherited from pop. Her second album What Happens Now? appears in 2024 and extends this direction between sentimental storytelling, radio energy and a Nashville aesthetic adapted for an artist from the West Coast. Trained at a young age in musical theatre and songwriting, Dasha also studied at Belmont University before fully dedicating herself to music. Her trajectory then leads to stages and events related to American country, while maintaining a transversal identity where country narration, a sense of the pop hook, and short song formats intersect.
