Born in Syracuse, New York in 1995 and raised in Grapevine, near Dallas, Texas, Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, developed an early interest in rock and hip‑hop before moving toward more melodic songwriting. Uploading the track "White Iverson" in 2015 drew the attention of Republic Records and marked the start of a career that blends rap, pop, trap, R&B and rock influences. Post Malone released the album "Stoney" in 2016, followed by "Beerbongs & Bentleys" in 2018, "Hollywood's Bleeding" in 2019, "Twelve Carat Toothache" in 2022 and "Austin" in 2023, where the emphasis gradually shifted toward pop and more rock‑ and acoustic‑tinged sounds. His writing, often focused on partying, excess, nostalgia and the effects of fame, relies on autotuned vocals and catchy choruses, with a looser rap style. Post Malone has collaborated with artists across rap, pop, rock and country and performs on major international stages, from arena tours to mainstream festivals.
