Sofiane Pamart
Born in Hellemmes, near Lille, in 1990, Sofiane Pamart trained in the classical tradition at the Lille Conservatory, where he studied piano for sixteen years before winning his gold medal. Initially active in francophone rap, he was noticed for a melodic, straightforward piano style at the intersection of classical writing, easy listening and a pop sensibility inherited from collaborations with Scylla, SCH, Josman, Vald and Laylow. This trajectory gradually led him to a personal repertoire centered on solo piano, developed on the albums Planet (2019), Letter (2022) and Noche (2023). At the same time, Pamart pursued several collaborative projects, notably Pleine Lune, Vol. I (2018) and Pleine Lune, Vol. II (2019) with Scylla, Vivre (2021) with Arno, and the EP Dreamers (2024) with Charles Leclerc. His writing relies on short motifs, clear harmonies and a strong sense of imagery, in instrumental music conceived for both large stages and intimate listening. Since 2021 he has presented this repertoire solo in venues and festivals in France and internationally, from the Auditorium du Louvre to the Montreux Jazz Festival, and in 2024 he accompanied Juliette Armanet at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games.
