Zerb
Born in São Paulo in 1997, Matheus Zerbini Massa developed an early musical practice before turning to electronic production as a teenager under the name Zerb. His first tracks were in progressive house and big room; he then shifted toward a more melodic house informed by deep house, tropical house and pop elements. This phase grew from 2015, notably with a remix of ZHU's "Faded" made with Vintage Culture, which placed him on the Brazilian club and festival scene. He went on to perform at events such as Lollapalooza Brasil in 2016 and Rock in Rio in 2017, while continuing to release singles and EPs regularly, including "Lonely Nights" and "Still Unknown" in 2021 and "Surrender" in 2023. Over the years Zerb has collaborated with artists from the Brazilian electronic and pop scenes, like Giulia Be and Dubdogz, maintaining an accessible approach centered on vocals, luminous textures and danceable rhythms. In 2023 Zerb significantly broadened his audience with "Mwaki", a track built around a house production with Afro accents and the Kikuyu vocals of Sofiya Nzau, before continuing in 2024 with "Addicted" alongside The Chainsmokers and Ink.
