Yodelice

Led by French musician Maxim Nucci, born in Créteil in 1979, Yodelice has established itself since the late 2000s with a sound situated between folk, rock and pop with American inflections. After several years working as a guitarist, producer and composer on the French scene, Maxim Nucci launched Yodelice with the album 'Tree of Life' in 2009, recorded around an imaginary cabin-studio nicknamed Casa Yodelice, followed by 'Cardioid' in 2010 and 'Square Eyes' in 2013. The Yodelice project is based on songs often sung in English, featuring melancholic melodies and simple structures, carried by acoustic guitar, a moderate tempo and arrangements that draw as much from folk as from indie rock. On stage, Yodelice presents itself as a band gathered around Maxim Nucci, with either an electric or a pared-down lineup depending on the concert or festival, and a central focus on guitar playing and vocals. Alongside his recordings, Yodelice regularly appears in film soundtracks and collective projects, while continuing to write and produce for other artists in Francophone pop, anchoring the project in a constant back-and-forth between solo work and collaborations.
