Charlie Winston

Charlie Winston is a British singer‑songwriter, born in 1978 in Bristol and based in Paris since the 2000s. He became known in France with his first hit, "Like a Hobo" (2011), from the album Hobo, which consolidated his visibility and allowed him to develop an international career. Before that breakthrough he released the album Make Way (2007) under a pseudonym, then Curio City in 2009, laying the foundations of a musical world that blends folk, pop and soul influences. After Hobo he released Running Still (2014) and Square 1 (2018), continuing a trajectory marked by a desire to combine voice, songwriting and production. In 2023 he returned with Your Bones, a project that signals a new stage in his artistic approach. Throughout his career Charlie Winston has built his work around freedom of tone, an acoustic‑pop sensibility and a stage presence that has led him to perform in numerous francophone and European venues and festivals.
