Tina Dickow

Born in Aarhus in 1977, Danish singer-songwriter Tina Dickow — also released under the name Tina Dico — works within a folk-pop vein marked by intimate songwriting and acoustic arrangements. After beginning her career with the band Tina Dickow and Sheriff, she launched her solo career in the early 2000s with the album Fuel (2001) and later developed her catalogue on her own label, Finest Gramophone. Tina Dickow gradually established herself on the Scandinavian and British scenes, notably with In the Red (2004) and Count to Ten (2007), which reveal a style blending guitar-and-voice ballads, melodic pop and indie rock influences, mainly in English but also in Danish. Recurring collaborations with the British electronic duo Zero 7 broadened her audience and accustomed her to international touring. Settling in Iceland during the 2010s, Tina Dickow has maintained an active career between small‑format concerts and full-band tours, marked by the albums Where Do You Go to Disappear? (2012), Whispers (2014), Fastland (2018) and Bitte små ryk (2020), which confirm a narrative songwriting approach focused on inner landscapes, geographic movement and everyday life.
