Søren Huss

Born in Nyborg, Denmark in 1975, Søren Huss first established himself as the singer and principal songwriter of the rock band Saybia, formed in the mid-1990s and noticed on the Danish and European scenes in the early 2000s. With Saybia he developed a melodic rock style centered on voice and piano, characterized by introspective moods and classic song structures. After an initial career in a band he launched a solo path in Danish that shifted his writing toward a more direct and personal vein, straddling pop, rock and singer‑songwriter traditions. His first solo album, 'Troen & Ingen', was released in 2010, followed by 'Opkald fra mig selv' in 2012 and 'Midtlivsvisen' in 2016, consolidating his position as an established singer‑songwriter in the Danish music landscape. Huss’s records are noted for their spare arrangements focused on voice, guitar and piano, and for Danish lyrics that address relationships, loss and everyday life with a direct, often melancholic tone, in deliberate continuity with his work in Saybia.
