Scotty McCreery

Born in 1993 in Raleigh and raised in Garner, North Carolina, Scotty McCreery fits within the American country tradition by combining a neo‑traditional foundation with more contemporary touches. He was introduced to a wide audience in 2011 when he won the tenth season of American Idol, and that same year released his debut studio album Clear as Day, noted for songs centered on everyday life, family and small‑town themes.
