Russell Dickerson
Based in Nashville but originally from Union City, Tennessee, American singer-songwriter Russell Dickerson is part of the contemporary country wave with pop influences. Trained at Belmont University, Dickerson gained attention in the mid-2010s on Music City's scene with songs focused on couples, everyday life and the landscapes of the American South. The release of the single "Yours" began this trajectory and led to a debut album of the same name in 2017 on the Triple Tigers label, where modern-arranged country sits alongside very melodic choruses. Dickerson followed with "Southern Symphony" in 2020, which deepened a blend of country, pop and light R&B sounds, before releasing a self-titled third studio album, "Russell Dickerson", in 2022. Regularly opening for artists from Nashville's country scene, Dickerson develops both on stage and in the studio a narrative-driven approach, with sentimental ballads and more rhythmic tracks designed for large venues as well as for American country radio.
