The Script

Formed in Dublin in 2001, The Script operate in a pop rock and soft rock register where melodic choruses meet songwriting influenced by soul and R&B. The band originated around Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan, former members of Mytown; drummer Glen Power joined after a stint in the United States during which O'Donoghue and Sheehan also worked as songwriters and producers. Later based in London, The Script released their debut album The Script in 2008, followed by Science & Faith in 2010 and #3 in 2012, which notably includes 'Hall of Fame' recorded with will.i.am. Their subsequent work continued along the same line between arena-sized pop, rock ballads and radio-friendly production with No Sound Without Silence (2014), Freedom Child (2017), Sunsets & Full Moons (2019) and Tales from the Script: Greatest Hits (2021). Highly active on tour across Europe, North America and Australia, The Script also shared bills early on with U2, Paul McCartney and Take That. After Mark Sheehan's death in 2023, The Script continued around Danny O'Donoghue and Glen Power, with Benjamin Sargeant and Ben Weaver added as official members, and released the album Satellites in 2024.
