Matroda

Born in Croatia and based in Los Angeles, Matroda has developed since the mid-2010s an approach to house that blends tech house, bass house and drier structures, marked by a taste for thick bass and club-ready rhythms. His background includes early musical training—particularly violin and keyboard—from which he retains a sense of melody and structural awareness that runs through his dancefloor-focused productions. Matroda sometimes refers to this aesthetic as the "Matrodasound," where house energy, heavy textures and rhythmic precision meet. Through releases and remixes, he has made a name for himself in the electronic circuits between Europe and North America, maintaining a steady presence on club and festival stages. His trajectory also includes occasional collaborations, notably with Chris Lake. Alongside his work as a producer and DJ, Matroda runs the label Terminal Underground, a platform for contemporary house geared toward dancefloor use.
