Between Aubagne and Marseille, SCH crafts a rap defined by dark atmospheres, a taste for storytelling, and a deep, instantly recognizable voice. Born in 1993 in Marseille as Julien Schwarzer, he emerged in the mid-2010s on the French rap scene, first through a series of tracks released online, then via guest appearances on projects by Jul and Lacrim that established him within the Marseille landscape. The 2015 mixtape A7 set in motion a trajectory of concept-driven projects blending trap, cloud influences, and more melodic songs, followed by the albums Anarchie (2016) and Deo Favente (2017). With JVLIVS in 2018, SCH pushed further into a cinematic writing style inspired by the imagery of organized crime, which he extended on Rooftop (2019) and JVLIVS II (2021). In parallel, he multiplied collaborations with the new Francophone generation and Marseille artists—particularly within collective projects led by Jul—while performing in large-capacity venues across France, Belgium, and Switzerland. SCH’s discography thus revolves around albums with strong narrative continuity, where visual aesthetics, slow trap productions, and the alternation between singing and rapping shape an identity that is easily recognizable within contemporary Francophone rap.
