Picture This

Formed in 2015 in Athy, County Kildare, Ireland, Picture This began as a collaboration between singer Ryan Hennessy and drummer Jimmy Rainsford, later joined by Owen Cardiff on guitar and Cliff Deane on bass to complete the lineup. Initially a home-recording duo, Picture This attracted online attention with the song "Take My Hand", which led to a self-titled EP in 2016 and a series of shows in Ireland and the UK. The band developed a sound that sits between pop, alternative rock and radio-friendly songwriting, anchored by a prominent vocal, melodic choruses and lyrics focused on relationships, everyday life and personal doubts. With the album "Picture This" in 2017, followed by "MDRN LV" in 2019 and "Life in Colour" in 2021, Picture This adopted an increasingly pop-oriented aesthetic, featuring denser productions and a marked use of mid- and uptempo rhythms. In 2024 the album "Parked Car Conversations" continued this evolution while retaining the mix of sentimental ballads and more direct tracks that characterizes Picture This both on stage and in the studio.
