Jamie McIntyre

Based in Galway, in the west of Ireland, Jamie McIntyre is developing a singer-songwriter repertoire that sits between contemporary folk and acoustic pop, with story-centred songs, straightforward melodies and a strong local grounding. He began broadening his audience in 2024 with the single "Over Galway Town", which was accompanied by a series of key live dates that year: a Paris show opening for Gavin James as part of the Three's City Stages initiative, a slot at Electric Picnic, and support appearances for Jamie Webster at the 3Olympia in Dublin and the Telegraph Building in Belfast. The run also led to a collaboration with Imelda May. In 2025 Jamie McIntyre continued the momentum with his first tour of Ireland and the UK, visiting Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Glasgow, London, Manchester and his hometown Galway. His world remains tied to an intimate songwriting approach, heard on tracks like "Melbourne" and "Outside the City", where he favours spare arrangements and a direct vocal delivery in an accessible folk-pop aesthetic that stays true to his Irish roots.
