Keywest
Born between Dublin and London around the duo formed by Andrew Kavanagh and Andrew Glover, Keywest first developed on the street, with a stint in Galway followed by regular performances on Dublin's Grafton Street, a setting that has permanently shaped its direct relationship with the audience. The band operates in a pop-folk register with light rock undertones, blending melodic songwriting, acoustic and electric guitars, open choruses, and a live-oriented approach to songcraft. After its debut album, The Message, released in 2012, Keywest pursued an independent path with the EP Electric Love in 2013, then the album Joyland in 2015 and the EP This Summer in 2016. The rest of their discography includes True North in 2018 and Ordinary Superhero in 2019, which notably features a collaboration with Irish singer Una Healy. Over the years it has become a four-piece with Luke Murphy and Conor Ray; Keywest has moved between the concert circuit, Irish stages and autonomous development, while maintaining an accessible aesthetic where folk-pop, contemporary ballads and live-energy forged onstage intersect.
