Nina Kraviz

Between hypnotic techno and tangy acid house, Nina Kraviz has built since the mid-2000s a career that intersects production, DJing and vocal work. Born in Irkutsk, Siberia, and later based in Moscow, Kraviz was active on the local club scene—particularly at the Propaganda club—while initially studying dentistry before focusing on music. After several maxi singles on the British label Rekids, she released the 2012 album “Nina Kraviz,” which established a sound combining pared-down techno rhythms, acid house lines, moderate tempos and frequent use of her spoken or sung voice. From 2014 she founded her own label трип (trip), later extended by the sublabel GALAXIID, to gather techno productions with experimental and psychedelic edges. As a DJ, she develops sets oriented toward often raw but deliberately shifting techno, incorporating classics, rare tracks and her own productions, and has made a name for herself on club and festival stages across Europe, North America and Asia, while continuing to release singles, EPs and remixes regularly.
