Sam Paganini

Raised in Vittorio Veneto in the province of Treviso, Sam Paganini initially trained in local rock bands, where he played drums, guitar and piano before turning to electronic music. Active since the 1990s, he released the track “Zoe” in 1996 under the name Paganini Traxx and over the years developed a career centered on tense, percussive and hypnotic techno, designed both for clubs and large festival formats. Sam Paganini subsequently issued several EPs on various labels and in the early 2010s became associated with Plus 8 and later with Cocoon Recordings and Drumcode — three key players on the European techno scene. His discography notably includes the EPs Cobra (2011), Prisma and Eros (2012), Body to Body and Black Leather (2013), the album Satellite (2014) and the EP The Beat (2016). In his productions as well as in his DJ sets, Sam Paganini favors upfront rhythms, pronounced bass and a restrained progression, with a direct aesthetic that has firmly placed him on the international techno circuit.
