Kid Simius

Born in Granada, Spain, and based in Berlin, Kid Simius has been forging a path since the early 2010s that sits between European club culture and Mediterranean heritage. His music moves across house, disco, Balearic, Italo and electronic pop, with a marked taste for supple rhythms, luminous melodic lines and productions that retain an organic feel. Kid Simius has released tracks on labels such as Permanent Vacation, Running Back, Shall Not Fade, Studio Barnhus and Watergate Records, while also developing his own release framework with Jirafa Records. His work is not limited to club productions: he co-wrote "Lila Wolken" for Marteria, and his catalogue includes remixes and collaborations with artists like Sofia Kourtesis, Paula Tape, Gerd Janson and Paul Kalkbrenner. On stage, Kid Simius alternates between DJ sets and live formats, in contexts ranging from festivals like Melt!, Sónar, Fusion and Tomorrowland to clubs such as Blitz, Nitsa and Badaboum. This trajectory makes Kid Simius an open electronic project in which dance music references remain present without confining the music to a single register.
