Ellen Allien

Ellen Allien is from Germany and, in addition to being a talented DJ, she is the head of the label BPitch Control, which she founded in Berlin in 1999. With the release of her first album “Stadtkind” in 2001—born Ellen Fraatz—she was quickly noticed by the German electronic scene. The Berlin-based Ellen Allien juggles several roles that take her around the world to concert venues and festivals. As a DJ, singer, label boss and fashion designer, she has asserted her originality. A genuine artistic oddity and versatile creator, she continues to explore new styles, notably collaborating with DJ Apparat on the 2006 album “Orchestra Of Bubbles.”
