Joyhauser

Formed in Belgium by Stijn and Joris, Joyhauser sits in direct and taut techno, threaded with rave, acid and trance accents that recall the duo’s roots in the Belgian electronic scene. Active since the mid-2010s, Joyhauser first drew attention through a string of club releases and EPs played in both festival circuits and European clubs, with a writing focused on rhythmic impact, clear buildups and dark yet legible melodic lines. The project has progressively broadened its spectrum, maintaining an effective techno base while incorporating more emotional textures and more narrative structures. This evolution is evident on Memoro, the album released in 2023, where Joyhauser develops a longer format without sacrificing the energy of the dancefloor. Present on stages dedicated to electronic music and in contexts ranging from clubs to major techno events, Joyhauser has built a steady trajectory, propelled by a recognizable sound, at once massive, precise and nourished by several traditions of European electronic music.
