Nicole Moudaber

Born in Nigeria to a Lebanese family, Nicole Moudaber grew up between Africa and Lebanon before settling in London — a trajectory that also informs her music. Her work sits in a techno register focused on rhythmic tension, dense bass and pronounced percussion, with bridges to house and an often darker, more hypnotic approach than strictly functional dance music. Initially active as a promoter in Lebanon, she went on to build an international career as a DJ and producer, releasing on several techno labels before founding her own imprint, MOOD Records, in the early 2010s. Her album Believe, released in 2013, continues this thread between club techno, tribal textures and more vocal-led formats. Moudaber has also developed the In The MOOD universe — a show, a series of events and an extension of her artistic identity — and over the years has collaborated with artists such as Skin and Carl Cox and established herself on club and festival stages in Europe, the Middle East and beyond with a direct, physical sound built for the dancefloor.
