Bart Skils

Based in Amsterdam, Bart Skils developed in the Dutch electronic scene before establishing himself as a regular on the European techno circuit through the 2000s. His sound is direct, groovy techno built around rolling basslines, crisp percussion and progressive buildups designed for the club, with arrangements that remain clear even at high intensity. Initially releasing on various house and techno labels, he later became a mainstay of Drumcode, putting out several tracks that raised his profile, including 'Your Mind' with Adam Beyer in 2018. His trajectory also includes collaborations with Weska and remixes for artists such as Underworld, Moby and Sven Väth. Very active as a DJ, Bart Skils plays both clubs and festival stages, delivering long, progressive sets focused on rhythmic efficiency. Between Amsterdam’s heritage and constant movement on the international scene, he has developed a functional, taut and precise techno aesthetic without losing a very concrete connection to the dancefloor.
