Prostitute
Formed in 2020 in Dearborn, Michigan, Prostitute brings together Moe Kazra on vocals, Andrew Kaster on drums, guitarists Ross Babinski and Bret Wall, and bassist Dylan Zaranski. The project sits at the intersection of noise rock, post-hardcore and hardcore punk, with tense, abrasive and dense songwriting driven by pounding rhythms, dissonant guitars and a vocal often pushed toward declamation. Prostitute’s foundation also includes influences from Arabic music and a political and religious background that runs through the lyrics and the group’s aesthetic, linked to Moe Kazra’s experience of anti-Arab racism and to references to Western violence in the Middle East. After the singles “Judge” in 2023 and “All Hail” in 2024, Prostitute self-released their first album, Attempted Martyr, in 2024. The track “Mr. Dada” followed in 2025, the year Prostitute signed with Mute Records, while a reissue of Attempted Martyr and a first European tour were announced. Having first appeared in DIY and experimental rock circuits, Prostitute has developed a frontal approach in which sonic heaviness, stage tension and a form of theatricality occupy a central place.
