Agriculture

Agriculture is part of the North American experimental metal scene, incorporating elements from post‑rock, screamo and ambient music into its songwriting, with extended song structures and gradual builds centered on repetition. After first gaining visibility in independent circuits and DIY venues on the West Coast, Agriculture released the EP The Circle Chant in 2022, which set out the main contours of an aesthetic focused on themes of community, transformation and our relationship to the living. The album Agriculture, released in 2023 on the label The Flenser, deepens this blend of black‑metal intensity and more open, sometimes near‑meditative textures, confirming the band's place in a landscape where extreme metal, experimental rock and atmospheric‑leaning music intersect.
