Boris Brejcha

Born in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany, Boris Brejcha made his mark on the European techno scene in the mid‑2000s with a series of maxi singles and albums released notably on the Harthouse label, including «Die Maschinen sind gestrandet» (2007), «Mein Wesen» (2008) and «My Name Is» (2010). As a producer and DJ he gradually developed an aesthetic he calls high‑tech minimal, combining repetitive techno structures, direct basslines and synthetic melodies inspired by trance and progressive house in often long, evolving compositions. From the 2010s he stepped up international touring and adopted a Venetian carnival mask on stage, which became a visual trademark of his performances. In 2015 he co‑founded the label Fckng Serious as a platform for his releases and those of close collaborators, while consolidating a club‑ and festival‑oriented sound. Among his more recent productions, the albums «Space Diver» (2020) and «Never Stop Dancing» (2021) continue this line between melodic techno, minimal tension and formats designed for mixing.
