Chris Avantgarde

Born in Germany and based in London, Chris Avantgarde develops a project that sits between melodic techno, progressive house and cinematic electronic composition. Trained in classical music and jazz as a multi-instrumentalist, Chris Avantgarde began by producing tracks for clubs before expanding into composing for film, trailers and video games, while also working on songwriting and production for pop artists. This dual trajectory is reflected in a sound where dance music structures rest on more developed harmonies, atmospheric textures and a narrative sensibility inherited from music for the screen. Active as a producer and DJ, Chris Avantgarde releases his music on his own label VNTGRD as well as on other electronic labels, and performs across club and festival scenes linked to contemporary house and techno aesthetics.
