Ilse DeLange will perform on 24 April 2027 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam and bring a show that brings together her entire journey: Nashville influences, Americana, country-folk and pop rock, all around that recognizable voice and her guitar-driven songs. Expect a set that shifts between restrained ballads and more driving tracks, with room for the melodic material she broke through with in the late 1990s and the later, pop-inflected material. Ilse has long moved smoothly between roots and pop without losing her base: English-language songs with a strong emphasis on songwriting and atmosphere. Her sidestep into The Common Linnets also continues to resonate, adding an extra layer to that country-folk sensibility. In AFAS Live that repertoire will receive the scale it deserves: close enough to hear the details, big enough for choruses that can be sung along together.
