Anouk

Active since the late 1990s, Anouk established herself as a singer-songwriter from The Hague in the Netherlands, where she grew up before turning to rock. Initially a backing vocalist—notably for members of Golden Earring—she gained recognition in 1997 with the single "Nobody’s Wife," taken from the album "Together Alone" released the same year, which placed her on the Dutch and European pop-rock scene. Her music blends guitar-driven rock, melodic pop and ballads marked by a powerful voice, a sound she has gradually steered toward soul and R&B over time. Albums such as "Urban Solitude" (1999), "Hotel New York" (2004), "For Bitter or Worse" (2009) and "Sad Singalong Songs" (2013) punctuate this trajectory, followed by a Dutch-language interlude with "Wen d’r maar aan" (2018) and then "Trails of Fails" (2021). Anouk also represented the Netherlands at Eurovision 2013 with the song "Birds" and regularly appears in Dutch media—often as a coach on music shows—while maintaining a live career focused on venues and festivals across Northern Europe.
