Info
Everlast marks the release of Embers to Ashes with a live set and signing, bringing his hybrid of hip-hop cadence, blues phrasing and folk rock grit back into close range. Long Island-born and long tied to the Los Angeles scene, Erik Schrody first broke through with House of Pain before steering his solo work toward stripped-back guitars, slow-rolling beats and plainspoken storytelling. Since Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, he’s honed a voice that moves easily between rhyme and melody, sketching everyday scenes with a rough, human touch.
On 30 August 2026 at Rough Trade East, he presents new tracks alongside pieces drawn from across his catalog, from Eat at Whitey’s to Whitey Ford’s House of Pain. Expect that steady acoustic pulse, clipped flows and grainy vocal tone that anchor his live presence, threading rap roots with American songcraft. The performance is followed by a signing, a straight-up moment to connect around the new record and the journey that keeps linking rap, rock and folk without fuss.
