On 5 November 2026, The Script bring their pop rock songwriting to Utilita Arena Newcastle. Formed in Dublin around Danny O’Donoghue and the late Mark Sheehan, the band has built a catalogue where melodic hooks meet soul‑leaning writing, from their 2008 debut through Science & Faith and the #3 era with Hall of Fame alongside will.i.am. Now centred on O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Power, with Benjamin Sargeant and Ben Weaver joining the lineup, The Script continue the story with Satellites (2024). The set moves between guitar‑led ballads and tight pop rock, threading older singles with recent material.
James Morrison joins the night with his raspy, soul‑steeped voice and a catalogue that blends folk, pop and R&B touches. Breaking through with Undiscovered (2006) and Songs for You, Truths for Me (2008), he has since traced a steady path with The Awakening, Higher Than Here and You’re Stronger Than You Know. On stage, he keeps it direct: guitar, piano and songs built on clear melodies and unfussy grooves.
