Info
On 26 November 2026 at O2 Institute Birmingham, Fat Dog bring their London-bred electro-punk to the Midlands. Born in 2020 around singer-guitarist Joe Love and soon expanded into a five-piece on the South London circuit, the band built its name onstage before releasing music, supporting Sports Team, Yard Act and Viagra Boys, then signing to Domino in 2023. Their sound sits at the crossroads of post-punk and dance-punk, with tense synth lines, rave-leaning rhythms and left turns that nod to klezmer via saxophone. Live, they push repetition and tight grooves without losing the abrasion of guitars, folding chants and breakdowns into long, physical builds. The set taps into King of the Slugs (2023) and the 2024 run of singles All the Same, Running and I Am the King, alongside tracks from their 2024 debut album WOOF. Seen at End of the Road, Dublin’s Borderline and SXSW, Fat Dog have shaped a show that keeps the energy upfront and the edges unpredictable, a blend of raw charge and dance impulse made for rooms that like to move.
