Shed Seven

Shed Seven bring their melodic, guitar-led indie rock to O2 Academy Birmingham on 14 November 2026. Formed in York in 1990, the band grew out of the UK live circuit with a sound sitting between britpop, alternative and indie, built on sharp riffs, direct choruses and an upfront stage energy. Fronted by Rick Witter with Tom Gladwin on bass and, across different eras, guitarists Joe Johnson and Paul Banks, they carved out a run of releases that marked the 1990s: Change Giver (1994), A Maximum High (1996) and Let It Ride (1998). After Truth Be Told in 2001 and a split in 2003, the group reunited in 2007, returned to the studio for Instant Pleasures in 2017, then pushed forward again in 2024 with A Matter of Time and Liquid Gold, the latter revisiting parts of their catalogue in new versions. On stage today, Shed Seven tap into that history with the tight, hook-focused sound that shaped their rise, refreshed by a line-up that has welcomed Tim Wills and Rob Maxfield in recent years.
