Dick Annegarn, 50 years of naturalist poetry. Who, in France, has written as many songs to honor the earth? Sacré géranium, Bébé éléphant, Mireille, Vélo va, L’orage, Quelle belle vallée — Dick Annegarn doesn’t only sing about Brussels. The singer-songwriter has long lived on a farm at the foot of the Pyrenees. Trained in agronomy, Dutch by origin and a French speaker, he has helped bring to consciousness songs to be sung, simple and moving. Nature is both a worry and a joy.
