The end of 2025 marked Kalika's return with the release of 'J'ai pleuré' ("I Cried"), an intimate and incandescent EP, and 2026 is far from done hearing from her: her second trash-pop album, 'Ma claque' ("My Slap"), is scheduled for release on May 29. At the crossroads of intimate confession and pop manifesto, Kalika asserts her singularity: a disenchanted princess, a Romani-tinged Lady Gaga who seems to have crossed paths with Alice Glass (Crystal Castles) and Catherine Ringer. Having played more than 200 concerts during the tour for her first album, Kalika has made the stage her true realm of expression — the place where her otherwise reserved nature flourishes.
