Mathilda

Mathilda is a singer-songwriter where French chanson meets electronic textures and highly narrative songwriting. In close collaboration with composer and producer Augustin Charnet, with whom she forms a long-standing duo, Mathilda navigates between the heritage of the singer-songwriter tradition and a more rhythm-driven contemporary pop. Her French-language tracks combine forward vocal delivery, clear melodies and synthetic arrangements, in a register that remains intimate while opening up to more danceable formats. Mathilda has collaborated with artists from the current French scene, notably Christophe, Cali, Julien Doré and Kyan Khojandi, while Augustin Charnet brings experience forged both in rap — working with SCH, Damso and Disiz — and in chanson alongside Christophe and Serge Lama. With the musical series “Hôtel Hilbert,” Mathilda frames her releases around a set of interconnected songs, including “Est ce que les autres s’aiment,” which synthesizes her francophone pop: melodic and threaded with electronic influences.
