Propelled by the current francophone rap scene, 2L develops a direct, unadorned rap focused on writing and expressing the perspective of a young woman in a still largely male environment. She was noticed for her lyrics during season 4 of the TV show Nouvelle École, broadcast in France, where she progressed step by step to the grand finale; there her flow, clear diction and emphasis on personal storytelling established her name with a wider audience. Her rap mixes social stances, introspection and everyday observations over contemporary hip‑hop productions that give ample space to text and voice. 2L claims an artistic identity that rejects the usual appearance and posturing codes associated with rap, instead working with emotional nuance, narrative construction and the contrast between embraced fragility and determination. After Nouvelle École, 2L joined the label founded by the rapper Souffrance, which structured a new phase of her career and provided a framework to develop her projects. The artist is currently preparing an EP, announced for early 2026, presented as a continuation of this approach in which writing, personal commitment and a view on urban reality remain central to 2L’s work.
