Skillet hail from Memphis and have been active since 1996. What began in the American Christian rock scene has grown into a distinctive blend of melodic hard rock, modern metal edges, electronic layers and occasional orchestral textures. At the core remains John Cooper’s bass and raw voice, mirrored by Korey Cooper’s guitars, keys and vocals. Since 2008 Jen Ledger has added an extra layer of rhythm and melody with both drums and vocals, creating clear live dynamics between driving verses and wide, anthemic hooks.

On 19 April 2026 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Skillet will run through a catalogue that reveals their evolution: from their alternative and industrial beginnings to the heavier work on Collide and Comatose, toward the more structured, stadium-ready choruses of Awake and Rise, and onward through Unleashed, Victorious and Dominion. Themes such as faith, resilience and inner tension run through it like a thread—delivered directly and primed for sing-along moments. Expect compact riffs, synth accents that sharpen the sound, and vocal harmonies that pull the audience along without fuss.
