July Talk rolls into Toronto with the Touch X Tour, on March 31, 2026 at History. Formed in 2012 in the city, the Canadian band builds a taut brand of alternative rock that pulls from rough blues, abrasive pop and a post-punk edge. At the core is the vocal interplay between Peter Dreimanis’ grainier baritone and Leah Fay Goldstein’s clearer tone, a dialogue that drives songs anchored by straight-to-the-point guitar, bass and drums.
Across their records, the band has played with tension and release. The self-titled debut set the blueprint; Touch (2016) pushed textures and melody further; Pray for It (2020) opened more space and slower pulses; Remember Never Before (2023) returned to a more immediate writing style. On stage, that contrast between voices stays the engine of their sound, with rhythmic patterns that keep the momentum and arrangements that leave room for both bite and melody. This is an all-ages show.
